I’ve been in Australia for a fortnight without internet access, and returned to a royalty cheque.
Generally royalty cheques and I have not been on good terms, given that I usually don’t sell many copies at all. This most recent one, on the other hand, was quite legendary. Harmonica + Gig is selling!
Most of the sales, interestingly, were ebook sales, which has changed my mind entirely about ebooks. It’s clearly not how you sell your book but where you sell your book – I tried Smashwords for Clockworld which isn’t working at all, but Harmonica + Gig is on Amazon.
Anyway, this has been a very positive way to start the year and I’m eager to get to writing… another novel, I think.
Every writer I know makes more on Amazon than anywhere else. I’d wager they make more on Amazon than all other sites combined.
